Analog file uploads result in blank audio playback on the unit

If you upload an audio file to a unit, and the process seems to succeed without a relink failure or some other obvious problem, yet the unit still plays no audio, check the following items:

1. Is the volume set correctly?

2. Is the output device connected securely, whether it's a speaker or MOH input card?

3. Is the status light blinking or solid? If blinking then that suggests the unit has no audio.

If all of these check out, then re-upload the audio. Be sure to listen to the output. Is it coming from the TCA modem, or your PC speakers?  If it's coming out of your PC Speakers, right-click on the volume control mini-icon on your task bar, select playback devices and check to see that your sound card is your default audio device. If the modem is configured as the audio device, this can sometimes result in Windows noises playing through the modem and NTL Studio audio uploads playing through the PC Speakers.

If that checks out, then click on Tools, then click on "Discover TCA (Telephone Communication Appliances)"

Follow the instructions, clicking "Yes" when you hear the voice coming through your modem, and not your PC Speakers.
