Consistent logon failure when trying to logon to analog units in the field

Consistent logon failure can occur when there have been changes to your local phone lines, this change can result in low audio volume. One possible solution would be to slightly increase the modem volume to compensate for this. Below you will find the steps for adjusting your modem’s volume.

Note: Increase the modem's volume by one or two points at a time. If you set the volume too high you can create the same problem that you are trying to fix.


Windows XP:

Go into Control Panel, Start -> Control Panel or Start -> Settings -> Control Panel

Locate Sound and Audio Devices and double click item

Under the Device Volume section click Advanced

Click on the Options drop down menu

Click on Properties

Select Modem(UAC3556B) from the Mixer Device selection box

Click Ok

Windows Vista/ 7:

Go into Control Panel, Start -> Control Panel

Locate Sound and double click item

Find Modem with- in device list

Right click Modem(UAC3556B) and select Properties

Select Levels tab

Adjust Volume
