Unable to connect to analog unit (TELink)

1. Ensure telephone cables on both TCA modem and analog unit are both secure and valid.

2. Make sure Fax share (if applicable) is active and configured properly. If so, temporarily unplug fax machine  from analog unit and try again.

3. Try plugging into an alternate phone line.

4. If all else fails, try to use a dial-around number like 10-10-220, as the circuit between you and your end user may contain equipment that interferes with data communications. Using the dial-around reroutes the call.

5. If unit is a Tel-A-Greeter, and you're connecting with Winlink, ensure that the password is correct, the default password on Tel-A-Greeters is TLKTAG.

6. If unit is a Tel-A-Greeter, ensure unit is in bypass mode. The mode light will blink three times if in bypass mode.

7. If you notice that the analog audio volume coming out of the modem is too high, try using volume control settings to adjust the volume level of your TCA modem, if it plays at too high a volume it will disrupt communications.
